Paediatric and Neonatal Donation Strategy

This strategic plan for Paediatric and Neonatal Deceased Organ Donation, aims to build a framework that embeds organ donation as a routine end of life care choice for every family facing the death of their child, in circumstances where donation may be possible.

This strategy has been written in partnership with paediatric and neonatal professionals, the families of child donors, retrieval and transplant professionals and other partners.

The recommendations found in this Strategic Plan are designed to assure health care professionals, families, children and society, that every gift of donation is precious and will be explored.
