Various resources are available to support clinicians and other healthcare professionals who are involved in deceased donation.
Some of this material is in part operational, and should be of use to clinicians who are seeking additional guidance on the care of a potential donor. Other materials have been developed to support the implementation of new strategies, for example around donor identification or best practice in approaching the families of potential donors. Also available are educational materials originating from training programmes that have formed part of the Professional Development Programme for Clinical Leads for Organ Donation and local Donation Committee chairs and the National Donation congress that has followed on from it. Finally, whilst NHSBT has developed or commissioned much of the material available on this site, there is a large and rich collection of external resources and links that should also be of interests to healthcare professionals involved in this aspect of critical care.
